Sep 16 - finally remembered to check out the HVAC prework done two days ago. It was mostly surveying and planning. This is the old furnace with covers off. Some new duct has been installed at top.

Sep 21 - these four pillars will support the big microlams. Two will be hidden in interior walls, one in an exterior wall and only one will be visible.
Sep 21 - the "big" Simpson tie that will be used to join the microlams to the pillar at the exterior wall. This size wasn't stocked and had to be custom-made.

Sep 16 - all ready for a concrete floor under the family room. There's plenty of groundwater down here, so the new area will have its own sump pump. Can't wait to be able to run the dehumidifier again!
