Thursday - Oberndorf & Arnsdorf
After the morning’s tourist activities, the band boarded buses for Oberndorf, Austria. Band and choirs performed outside the Silent Night Chapel, built on the site of the church where “Silent Night” was first performed in 1818.
Rain had been forecast -- and threatened -- for this outdoor performance, but mostly held off, to the great relief of all concerned.
En route back to Salzburg, the group stopped to visit nearby Arnsdorf, home of Franz Xaver Gruber.
