Mont-Saint-Michel
Walking through Mont-Saint-Michel was a marvelous experience – one could spend days there. Some buildings date to the eighth century, and the site has played many roles through the centuries. It's visually staggering. Each window, door, cobblestone and nail seems rich with history. The gallery begins with a copy of the abbey tour brochure, and below are links to some additional information. Advance apologies for the large number of images, also for my fascination with old doors and locks. New or corrected captions welcomed!
