May 27 - Combined Bands

The first performance was Saturday afternoon, an official "Welcome Home" ceremony at which TBDBITL Alumni and the USMC Pacific Band joined in playing "God Bless America". It was a beautiful day at Ft. DeRussy Beach Park. Many Vietnam Veterans, family members and friends attended the event. Because the program included several speakers, there was quite a period between warmup and performance, allowing plenty of time for band members and veterans to mingle a bit.
